III. Which data do we process from you?

We process your personal data when you book one of our accommodations, provide us with information via a contact form on our website or contact us in any other way. In detail this can be the following data:

  • Data about your accommodation rented from Limehome GmbH
  • Data required for booking one of our accommodations (billing address, arrival and departure, mobile phone number, e-mail address)
  • Payment processing data (credit card data, account data and other payment information)
  • Data we receive when redeeming coupons (redeemed coupons, date and place of redemption)
  • Data that you generate when you add products to your shopping cart.
  • Data that you provide for reviews and evaluations of products, etc.
  • Data collected during the use of our website limehome.de through the use of cookies, (pages accessed, links clicked, services used, time of use)
  • Data on your location (if you have allowed the collection of location data in your device settings)
  • Data that you provide to us when ordering the Limehome newsletter (e.g. e-mail address, title, first name, surname, postal code)
  • Data that we need to prove your consent to receive the Limehome Newsletter (IP address and time stamp of the newsletter subscription as well as the click on the link in the confirmation e-mail, declarations of consent given)
  • Information you provide to us via a web form or otherwise when you contact our customer service department
  • Data that you communicate to us when you apply for an advertised position or send us an unsolicited application (personal data, data relating to training, data relating to your previous professional career, cover letter, curriculum vitae, portrait photo, certificates)

 

  1. Is there an obligation to provide the data?

The provision of your data is not required by law. However, some of the above data is required in order to conclude and carry out work contracts for our services. Without the communication of the data required for the execution of the contract, we are not in a position to enter into a contract with you about services of Limehome GmbH. The communication of other data is voluntary, but may be necessary for the use of certain services. We inform you when entering data, if the provision is necessary for the respective service or the respective function. These data are marked as mandatory fields. If data is required, the non-availability of this data means that the service or function in question cannot be provided. In the case of optional data, non-availability may mean that we cannot provide our services in the same form and to the same extent as usual.

  2. Processing of orders in the online shop

We process your data for the processing of bookings in our online shop. This includes the provision of services, processing of payments, granting of discounts, use of vouchers and processing of defect claims. We will inform you by e-mail about the receipt of a booking and the respective status. We will use your mobile phone number to inform you of your access code by SMS on the day of your arrival. We will pass on your data to third parties as far as this is necessary for payment processing or our services. We can transfer data on outstanding receivables to a debt collection company for the purpose of debt collection. The legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b of the Basic Data Protection Ordinance (fulfilment of contract).

The data stored for the execution of a contract and a booking will only be passed on to other third parties (e.g. service providers for IT, e-mail dispatch and payment processing) to the extent necessary. These data may only be used by third parties for the fulfilment of their task.

  1. Payment processing

In the context of payment processing, your data may be passed on to the following payment service providers. Your credit card data or other payment data will not be stored by Limehouse GmbH and forwarded directly to the payment service providers:

Payments are processed by our partner Adyen BV, Simon Carmiggelstraat 6 – 50, 1011 DJ Amsterdam. In order to prevent and detect fraud, we transmit your IP address to our partner Adyen BV, Simon Carmiggelstraat 6 – 50, 1011 DJ Amsterdam. Your IP address will be stored by Adyen BV. All data is transmitted in encrypted form.

  1. Advertising

In addition to processing your data to process orders in our online shop, we also use your data for advertising purposes as described in more detail below. You can object to the processing of your data for advertising purposes at any time. An informal communication to the contact data mentioned under number I is sufficient.

3.1 Direct advertising by e-mail

We use your e-mail address given in connection with an order in our online shop for direct advertising for our own similar offers. You will receive these product recommendations regardless of whether you have subscribed to our newsletter or not. In this way, we want to send you information about goods and services from our range that might be of interest to you based on the orders you have previously placed in our online shop. 3.2 Mail advertising

We use your billing address given in connection with an order in our online shop for direct advertising for our own offers. You will receive this letter advertising regardless of whether you have subscribed to our newsletter or not. In this way, we want to send you information about goods and services from our range that might be of interest to you due to orders you have placed in our online shop so far. If you do not wish to receive this letter advertising, you can object to this at any time. An informal communication to the contact data mentioned under number I is sufficient. 3.3 Personalisation of the advertising address

We want to send you advertising that is oriented to your individual interests. For this purpose we analyse your data and try to select products, services and promotions which fit you exactly when designing the advertising approach. To this end, we evaluate your data in order to define defined target groups and tailor the promotional approach to the respective target group. Your data enable us to address you personally with your name.

3.4 Satisfaction survey

We process your data in order to invite you to satisfaction surveys, e.g. following an order. The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f Data Protection Basic Regulation (weighing of interests, based on the interest of Limehome to determine the satisfaction of customers with the accommodations of Limehome.

3.5 Website analysis/tracking

We use Adobe Analytics to create pseudonymous user profiles to help us tailor our website to your needs. The website analysis tools mentioned above use cookies. These enable an analysis of the website use by you. Your IP address will only be processed in anonymous form. The website analysis tools evaluate your use of the website for us and compile reports on website activity. You can object to the creation of pseudonymous user profiles at any time. You can contact us via our web form, by e-mail, by post or by telephone. We process your data in order to answer your enquiry and, if necessary, to send you requested information material. Your data may be transmitted to the office responsible for your request. The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b, f Basic Data Protection Regulation (pre-contractual measure, fulfilment of contract or weighing of interests, based on the interest of Limehome to answer inquiries from customers and other persons).

  1. Application

On our website you have the possibility to apply online via e-mail for an advertised position or to submit an unsolicited application. Your data and the file attachments sent with it will be accepted by the personnel department and forwarded to the department responsible for the advertised position or to the persons entrusted with handling the application procedure. All parties involved treat your application documents with due care and confidentiality. The legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b Data Protection Basic Regulation and § 26 Para. 1 Sentence 1 BDSG (decision on the establishment of an employment relationship).

  1. Web server protocols

To ensure the security of our IT systems, when you visit our websites, we process the connection data of the requesting computer including the IP address, the websites that you visit on our site, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system type used and the website from which you visit us by default. The legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (weighing of interests based on Limehome’s interest in ensuring the security of IT systems).

  1. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the Internet browser or by the Internet browser on the user’s computer system. When a user visits a website, a cookie can be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is called up again. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the calling browser can be identified even after a page change. The purpose of using technically necessary cookies is to simplify the use of websites for users. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. You can give a voluntary marketing agreement. By doing so, you allow Limehome to process your named personal data together with other data for certain advertising (and market research) purposes, as described in detail in the marketing consent. If you have given your marketing consent and have also consented to the use of your data by Limehome GmbH for advertising (and market research) purposes by giving your retrievable consent, Limehome GmbH may use this data for advertising (and market research) purposes, namely for the purposes described in your consent. These are in particular for the submission of individually tailored offers by mail, while you call the customer service of Limehome or contact him by other means, or by e-mail, if you visit the electronic media (company websites) of Limehome GmbH or third parties and if you visit social media, such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Service providers used by us must meet special confidentiality requirements. You will only receive access to your data to the extent and for the period necessary for the performance of your tasks. If we suspect a criminal offence, we can pass on your data to law enforcement authorities (police, public prosecutor’s office).

 

  1. Are data processed outside the European Union?

For the processing of your data, we also use service providers located in third countries outside the European Union. Countries outside the European Union handle the protection of personal data differently from countries within the European Union. There is currently no decision by the EU Commission that these third countries generally offer an adequate level of protection. We have therefore taken special measures to ensure that your data is processed in third countries as securely as within the European Union. We conclude the data protection agreement (standard data protection clauses) provided by the Commission of the European Union for the processing of personal data in third countries with service providers in third countries. This provides for appropriate safeguards for the protection of your data by service providers in third countries. VII. How long will the data be kept?

We will only store your data for as long as we need it for the purposes for which it is processed. If the data are no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the processing purposes mentioned in these data protection notices, they will be deleted, unless their retention is still necessary for the fulfilment of commercial or tax storage obligations. As a rule, we delete your data after these periods or set the deletion period according to these criteria:

Data on bookings made with Limehome GmbH ten years after the purchase has been carried out

Data on a request to customer service usually at least 3 months to at the latest 10 years after completion of the transaction

Data on an application for a job advertised six months after completion of the application procedure

 

VIII What rights do you have?

Right of access: You may request information about your personal data processed by us.

Right of rectification: You may request that your data be rectified.

Right of deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your data. Please note that a claim for deletion depends on the existence of a legitimate reason. In addition, there must be no regulations that oblige us to store your data.

Right to limitation of processing: You have the right to demand limitation of the processing of your data. Please note that a claim to limitation of processing depends on the existence of a legitimate reason.

Right of objection: You have the right to object to the processing of your data for reasons arising from your particular situation. In the event of a justified objection, we will no longer process your data.

Objection to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes: You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes. You can address your objection to us in any form, preferably to the above-mentioned contact data, stating the keyword “Objection to the processing of my personal data for advertising purposes”.

Right of appeal: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you do not agree with the processing of your data.

Data transferability: You have the right to receive personal data that you have provided to us in an electronic format.

Right to revoke your consent: You have the right to revoke at any time your consent to the processing of your data which you have given us. This also applies to the revocation of declarations of consent which you have given us before the validity of the basic data protection regulation, i.e. before 25.05.2018. The revocation of your consent does not affect the legality of the processing of your data until revoked.
